Advantages of Confessing to a Crime

Confessing to a murder that you didn’t commit and condemning yourself to either death or a lifetime in prison seems like a completely bizarre thing to do. It is, but it’s still not unheard-of, and those that do give false confessions have their own reasons for doing so. Sometimes, it comes to light and justice is served . . . and sometimes, it isn’t.
